Do YOU Believe?

Our club is committed to helping you and our community make the most of winter.  Our Trail Crew (aka the Gomer Squad) works hard in prepping the trails in the fall and grooming them all winter to provide the best skiing possible given the limitations of machine, manpower and Mother Nature.  Our Lessons and Learning Team volunteers dedicate themselves to sharing their love of winter and being outside with schoolchildren and teach them how to embrace winter in all its conditions and have a blast doing so.

When you come to ski and snowshoe our trails on the weekends, you will be welcomed by our Ambassadors who tend the Hut, serve both members and guests, and keep the cocoa warm.

And even if there’s no snow to frolic on our trails, our Treks & Adventures Team will invite you to join them to explore new paths and nearby places to play.

Perhaps you are willing to lead a tour, take on a task, or do the grunt work of grooming?  If so, give of yourself and your time to support our club’s mission and our vision of what makes our community a great place to live, work and play.  No time?  No worries, just contribute to our cause by supporting our club with your membership and inviting your friends to join.

What’s important is that you believe!  Your membership is testament to your belief in the BOC and all the time, energy and effort that generations of our neighbors and friends have vested to keep us recreating in the great outdoors!  We play in low-cost, low-build environments in ways that sustain our health and well-being in sync with the seasons. We believe in good sports that champion the simple pleasures of cyclic human motion in concert with Nature that are good for you and the planet.

We Believe!  Do YOU?

Renew by December 5 to Claim “I Believe!” Credit

Do you believe in the good work our club does?   Then renew now and demonstrate your commitment to our winter programs.  True believers who contribute their time and energy to our club efforts every year can claim a $25/Adult credit ($50 max/Family)— if they volunteered at least 4 hrs/adult last winter and renew before December 5.

Others who stand up and take credit by stating, “I Believe!”, are entitled to a $10/Adult discount by committing to their membership by Wednesday, December 5, 2007.

Big Benefit to Believing in the BOC

A Saturday lift ticket at Vermont’s major mountains costs $78-$84 this winter.  Or, for the same price, enjoy the entire winter season XC skiing, skating, showshoeing and trekking with the BOC’s winter program.  Plus, you can engage our great outdoors with neighbors and friends closer to home.

By believing in the BOC and renewing your commitment to our club by December 5, a little magic comes your way:  You may SKI FREE one time this season at each of Vermont’s best ski touring centers.  So even when the snow is sparse here in town, you can still ski the best groomed trails  close to home at no additional cost.  Simply flash your BOC Ski Hut pass.   Check the listing here for the 2008 list of participating ski centers.
